If you've run out, lost or damaged your regular prescription medicine, we may be able to provide an urgent supply through the NHS Emergency Supply Service.
The service
Urgent supply, when it matters.
In an emergency, a pharmacist can supply certain prescription-only medicines without a prescription - provided you've been prescribed that medicine before and there's an immediate need.
Our pharmacist assesses whether it's impractical to get a prescription without undue delay (for example, when GP appointments are scarce) and supplies what's safe at NHS expense via 111.
Please note: this service is for emergencies only. It is not intended to replace the normal route for ordering your medication, and repeat supplies are not allowed.

Emergency supply, explained.
If you're referred through 111 and exempt from prescription charges, the supply is free. If you normally pay, you'll be charged the standard prescription levy per item. Without a 111 referral the supply is not NHS-funded and you'll pay the full cost of the medicine.
No. The pharmacist can supply up to 14 days of your medication without you ordering a prescription first.
Yes - when your regular pharmacy is closed or you're away from home. Bring a recent repeat slip, a recent box of the medicine, or an empty tray package. With your permission and your GP's data sharing enabled, the pharmacist can also access your record.
We hold a large stock but not every product is on the shelf. Some items are less common, expensive, or in short supply. Give us a call on 01827 280837 before coming in and we'll check.
If we can't help on the day, we'll guide you to the next best route - usually another nearby pharmacy or back to 111. We'll never supply if we can't be certain it's the right medicine at the right dose.
